Systems, incentives & execution

A mixed track across product building, backend systems, community operations, and data work. The through-line is designing mechanisms that hold up under real usage.

Founder

Volt3Labs
dApp architecturebackend systemstooling

Building a systems lab: product-first experiments, reusable tooling extraction, and advisory work focused on decentralized application architecture and backend systems.

  • Developed Ronin-integrated application systems and supporting backend services.
  • Built modular tooling from production constraints (dashboards, utilities, governance-oriented prototypes).
  • Current work includes developing a casual puzzle game to study player profile systems, persistence, and identity.
2020 — 2024

Axie Guild Leader

Community operations & systems
incentive systemscommunity opstooling

Grew and maintained a small, high-retention guild while building lightweight tooling to track performance and incentives. Focus: player systems, measurement, and long-term loyalty.

  • Scaled from 0 → 150 players, then intentionally consolidated to a core of 3 highly loyal long-term players.
  • Built scripts and simple leaderboards to track contribution and performance over time.
  • Designed incentive rules and community processes to reduce churn and improve retention.
  • Handled community management: onboarding, expectation-setting, conflict resolution, and cadence.

Freelance

Independent
webdevbackendtechnical writing

Occasional project-based work across web development, backend systems, and technical writing. Not continuous—selected engagements based on scope and learning value.

  • Delivered web applications and backend features for small teams and solo founders.
  • Wrote technical documentation to clarify systems, APIs, and implementation choices.
  • Worked across frontend and backend as needed to ship end-to-end deliverables.
2021 — 2022

Research Assistant

University of Rennes - Data analysis
pythonRdata analysis

Supported research work through data preparation, analysis, and reproducible scripting. Focus: getting reliable results from messy real-world datasets.

  • Built Python and R scripts for cleaning, transforming, and analyzing datasets.
  • Produced repeatable analysis pipelines and clear outputs for public researchers.
  • Contributed to interpretation and presentation of results.
2018

Intern

Orange Business — Mobile Connect
backendauthenticationidentity

Worked on backend services around authentication flows (Mobile Connect), focusing on reliability, correctness, and integration constraints typical of identity systems.

  • Contributed to backend development for authentication services.
  • Worked with security-sensitive flows and integration requirements.
  • Improved implementation clarity through documentation and structured testing habits.
2016-2019

International Master Degree — Distributed Systems

Université de Rennes + TU Delft
distributed systemssystems design

Formal training in distributed systems concepts and engineering foundations. Focus areas included networking, system design, reliability, and concurrency.

  • Distributed systems foundations: coordination, failure modes, and tradeoffs.
  • System design thinking applied through projects and coursework.
